Departmental Profile

Belda College has a separate department of Physical Education in the college. The Department has been introduced in the academic session 2000-2001. Presently, it offers only General course. The Department has good collection of books in the Central Library and in the Departmental Library. The department has an advanced well-equipped multi-gym, 200 Meter Track, Football field, Volleyball Court, Outdoor Badminton Court, Table Tennis, Basketball Court, Kabaddi Ground and Kho-Kho Ground.  The Department deals with the teaching and sportive activities of all students of the college. The Department follows the annual calendar & programme provided by Vidyasagar University. Students of Belda College participate in various sports and games like inter-collegiate tournament of Vidyasagar University and many students are selected in various teams of the University.  Every year many girls and boys represent Vidyasagar Univesity in East Zone and all Indian Interuniversity tournaments. The department works with the guidance and advice of the Principal of the College and the Chairman and members of the games committee.

Course: The Department offers BA General Course in Physical Education under the CBCS structure of Vidyasagar University.
